Moneyball is a 2011 biographical sports drama film directed by Bennett Miller and distributed by Columbia Pictures. The film is based on Michael Lewis’s 2003 book of the same name. As Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane, Brad Pitt portrays a man attempting to rebuild a baseball team using an unconventional recruiting system. Moneyball has received universal acclaim and has appeared on many critics top 10 list of best films of 2011.
